Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative work of God. (Matt. 5:18; 2Tim. 3:16---17)
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (2 Cor.13:14)
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His burial and bodily resurrection on the third day, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father. We believe in His second coming in power and glory. (Acts1:9---10; Rom 8:34; Heb. 7:25; Matt.1:21; John1:18; Col 1:15)
  • We believe in the fall and consequent total moral depravity of humanity, resulting in our exceeding sinfulness and lost state and necessitating our regeneration by the Holy Spirit. (Eph. 2:1---5, 12; Rom.2:1
  • We believe that repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to salvation. (Eph. 2:8---9)
  • We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the exercise of His power in Believers today through His gifts. (Gal. 5:22---23; ICor.12:11; Eph. 4:7; I Cor. 12:4---6)
  • We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost: those who are saved to the resurrection of life and those who are lost to the resurrection of judgment.
  • We believe it is important to uphold the scriptural practices of the early church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of water baptism and the regular taking of communion. We believe that they serve as a demonstration of our living faith in Christ. (Acts 14:22, 20:17, 28:32; I Tim 3:1---13; Titus 1:5---11; Matt. 28:19--20; Acts 2:41---42, 18:8; I Cor. 11:23--26)
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Cor. 12:12---14)
